The following is Vacuum Tube Valley's return policy:
1. Any defective merchandise that fails within the warranty period is either sent directly back to the manufacturer. Any vacuum tubes or small parts sold by VTV, including our Tube Tester and the VTV Preamp can be sent back to us for replacement or repair at no additional charge within the first 90 days. Items including speakers, preamp, CD players, amplifiers, etc., are covered by original equipment manufacturers warranties which can range from one year to ten years, depending on the product. Any defective products must be sent directly back to them. Be sure you complete your warranty card and send it in as soon as possible.
Tubes and small parts are warranted for 90 days. Defective tubes or parts that fall within the 90 day warranty will be replaced with similar items or exchanged for tubes or parts of equal or greater value.
2. All other returns for any other reason are charged a 20% restocking fee and postage is not refunded. This includes merchandise that a customer purchases and is returning it for reasons other than product failure. (ie: they found it cheaper somewhere else or they don't like the way it sounds, etc.) This cost covers our fees with Amazon.com, handling time, and restocking fees. Make sure you know what you want and do your research before you purchase!
3. All returned merchandise must be in perfect-resellable condition, including all manuals, cords, warranty cards and factory cartons to receive your return. Any damaged stock or missing components will be deducted from your return amount and may exceed 20%.
4. All returns must be pre-authorized with an email or phone call to obtain an RMA number. Please do not send the merchandise back without contacting us first and obtaining a return authorization number. You can call us at 707-349-3009 or email us at cathode99X@vacuumtube.com

For larger items such as amps or speakers, ship them either back to the manufacturer if it is a warranty issue or to our physical address after getting an authorization from us:

6. We DO NOT reimburse customers for return shipping, but we do pay for the shipping back to them on warranty returns.
